GM UNIT COMMUNICATON REPORT

August 9, 2017

NEW PAYROLL

The Company has informed the Union they will be rolling out a new Employee Self Service (ESS) Portal where all hourly employees will begin receiving their pay stubs electronically starting September 14, 2017. You are automatically “opted in” to this system. If you do not wish to receive your pay stubs electronically, then you must opt out by completing and submitting the “Opt Out Request Form” between now and August 29th. The Group Leaders have been told by the Company they are not to be printed and handed out unless a form is specifically asked for by an hourly employee. If your “Opt Out Request Form” isn’t received by CHQ payroll by end of the day on August 29th then you will automatically start receiving your pay stubs electronically starting September 14th. We suggest if you opt out, you make a photocopy of your “Opt Out Request Form” before handing it in to your Group Leader.

Forms are also available on the Employee page of the GM St. Catharines website: www.gmstcatharines.ca. Completed forms must be sent via interoffice mail to mail code CA1-020-001 or by email to Compensation Activity at gmcanadaPayroll@gm.com – Group Leaders know that they are responsible for mailing in any of their team members’ forms by the deadline.

All hourly employees will be receiving a package in the mail at some point this week or early next week with complete details about this initiative, FAQs and instructions.
