National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women

Location: Local 199 Union Hall, 124 Bunting Road (downstairs in Retirees Centre)
Time: 6:30 pm
The Women’s Committee would like to invite all members to participate in a vigil on the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women. This year, we will be holding a Candlelight vigil, with a guest speaker from Birchway Niagara. Following the vigil, members are invited to participate in a Yoga Nidra meditation, gong bath and enjoy refreshments. This event is open to both active and retired members.
Members are encouraged to bring a yoga mat and blanket, if possible, for a comfortable experience. Participants are invited to wear white in honour of the occasion.

By supporting this event, the Women’s Committee aims to create a positive and inclusive gathering that raises awareness about ending violence against women and promoting gender equality.
