On Saturday 2nd June the Recreation committee dusted off the Pudgy Dawson Golf Tournament, now named the Unifor 199 Golf Invitational, and ran an excellent event. During the day I had the opportunity to talk to all the groups and everyone was having a good time, were happy with the course selection and price. The International Country Club which boast 27 holes is one of the older courses in Niagara. ICC which is now under new management, has noticeably improved since the last time I played there and the greens were rolling very well. With one group on each hole playing a scramble format the 71 players were well spread out and moved quickly around the course.
At the end of the day; with a $45 entry fee, good weather, good company, prizes and a bite to eat everyone came out a winner. Congratulations and thanks to the recreation committee for running the tournament. Bragging rights for the Low score goes to Bryan Kolbuc, Dave Demarco, Garry Charron and Gary Miler who were -11. The Longest Drive, Rory Demarco, & Closest to the pin, Bryan Kolbuc. To see all the pictures and teams click here Images from the tournament
