This is a course for women in Unifor. Are you already involved in the union and struggling to balance the triple day (work, home, union); or are you thinking about becoming involved in the union to work on issues that are important to you? Our union needs women’s voices, activism and leadership now more than ever! Women make a difference at the bargaining table, in handling grievances, and in creating change in our workplaces and our communities. This course identifies opportunities for involvement and strategies for overcoming barriers to women’s participation. Participants will strengthen their communication and critical thinking skills, increase their comfort level at speaking up on issues and discuss the importance of women’s involvement at every level within the union.
Lunch, all Course material will be provided at no cost to our members. Click on the following link for the poster. (Please print and post in your work area)
