Unifor continues the fight to secure an inclusive, equitable and resilient EI program for workers in Canada through our Fix Employment Insurance campaign. With recent changes to the minister responsible for EI, Unifor knows it’s imperative that we take action now to call on the federal government to follow through on their commitment to make permanent reforms.

Join the campaign, take action and spread the word with members of your local union.

• Take action today by signing the petition online, making a call to your local Member of Parliament, or tweeting at decisions makers. Visit Unifor’s newly updated Fix Employment Insurance website here.
• Join the Canada-Wide Emergency Phone Action (online) on Wednesday, November 1. Register here.
• Circulate the flyer through your networks and post on your union boards to encourage participation in the Emergency Phone Action.
• In Eastern Canada, take action on November 1 by advocating for EI reforms for seasonal workers who face higher qualifying hours this year and a longer “black hole” with fewer weeks of entitlement. If in Montreal, join Unifor members at 11:30 AM at 1100 boul. Cremazie Est.
