STRIKE DUTY (Updated)

Message to GM Workers

As you all know the strike deadline for General Motors to accept the pattern contract negotiated at Ford was 11:59 pm Monday night. We negotiated with the company right up to the deadline and couldn’t get an agreement.  For General Motors to get serious we had to hold firm on our strike deadline, talks continue with General Motors.

What we need the members to do is… show up for your scheduled strike duty shift, parking is available across the street from the main entrance of the plant.

  • The picket duty schedule is now posted : Names are listed in order of GMIN. Press ctrl+f in the pdf document to search your name or GMIN #
  • Report to the picket captain who will give you an assignment
  • You must sign in with your picket captain at the start of your one 8-hour shift/week and sign out at the end to be paid for completing your picket duty.
    • All members have been assigned one 8-hour shift per week.
    • Strike pay is $300/week or $42.86/day of the dispute.
