Unifor Local 199 is excited to host its annual Labour Day Celebration at the Union Hall.
Members and their families are also invited to join the Local in walking in the Merritton Labour Day Parade!
Meet in the Northeast corner of the Pen Centre parking lot – off of Chestnut Street (near Winners and Old Navy entrance). Look for a group with Unifor flags and Dealer pick-up trucks.
Meet at 10:30 a.m. to get your FREE Unifor 199 t-shirt to wear in the parade. The parade starts at 11:00 a.m. sharp and finishes in Merritton around 12:30 p.m. Join us back at the
union hall after for a BBQ and more Labour Day activities!
Activities:
- Hockey Shoot-a-rama (3 shots for $1.00 – High score wins an Ice Dogs jersey)
- Dart Toss (3 darts for $1.00 – break the right balloon, win a prize)
- Plinko Game
- Penny Raffle (Tickets for raffle drawn at 4:00pm)
- 50/50 Draw (Tickets are 1 for $5.00, 3 for $10.00, and 7 for $20.00 – proceeds will be donated to the Distress Centre)
- Classic Car Show
- Marty Allen Band
- BBQ Hamburgers @ $5.00 each
- BBQ Hot Dog/Sausage @ $4.00 each
- Beer @ $5.00 each
- Mixed Drinks (including wine and caesers) @ $5.00 each
- Pop/Water @ $1.50 each
- For the Kids:
- Free face painting
- Water Blaster Battle (Swim suits encouraged)
- Merritton Fire Truck on site (kids can set off lights and sirens!)
- Clowns
- Star Wars characters
- Free popcorn, jumbo freezies, and cotton candy

*We do not have an ATM at the Union Hall, however there are two at the Delta Bingo next door*
