Throughout this pandemic, our union has developed new ways for members to gather, organize and fight for a world that works better for workers.
Unifor young workers are no different.
The world we’re leaving for the next generation of workers is not in great shape. Even before the pandemic hit, we knew that a climate crisis combined with an inequality crisis had the potential to leave the younger generation worse off than any other previously. It’s fair to say that our shared concern for the viability of good, decent jobs on a healthy planet is greater than ever.
This fall, Unifor Young Workers are inviting you to participate in virtual events in the lead-up to the World Day for Decent Work on October 7, 2021.
In these difficult and trying times, Unifor Young Workers are proclaiming: Our future is worth the fight!
This virtual series will include one informal gathering for young workers, one webinar open to all members, and an email conference in which all interested members can participate. You will find more details and registration information for each virtual event below.
Local unions are encouraged to share this information with young workers in their membership. Please help us connect and reach out to as many young workers as possible in the coming weeks.
All events are free of charge.
