What do I need to bring?
Make sure to bring:
- Valid ID that shows your name and home address.
- Your Voter Information Card if you received one in the mail. Bringing it with you to the voting place will make voting faster and easier, but is not required.
- If you want, you can bring your own pen or pencil to mark your ballot.
- A mask to wear in the voting place. You will not be asked to remove your mask to vote.
I ordered a vote-by-mail package, but I forgot to mail it. Can I still vote?
You can still return your completed vote-by-mail package in person to the address on the pre-addressed return envelope in your special ballot voting kit.
If the return address is in Ottawa, your completed vote-by-mail package needs to be returned before 6pm Eastern Time tomorrow (Monday, September 20).
If the return address is the local Elections Canada office in your riding, your completed vote-by-mail package needs to be returned before the time the polls close in your riding tomorrow (Monday, September 20 — see voting times listed above).
