Every year we Honour and Remember

At the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month, Local 199 lays a wreath at the feet of the fallen soldier’s monument in Merritton. We wear a poppy with pride and observe a moment of silence to mark the sacrifice of the many who have fallen in the service of their country, we also stand in honour of all who have and continue to serve and protect.

Walk through any graveyard in the region and you will see many graves of these who lost their lives, tragically many died at a very young age.

Wearing a Poppy directly support Veterans and their families, and ensures Canada never forgets.
