GM Plant Gate Collection

Every Christmas we arrange a plant gate collection at General Motors to collect funds for families in need at Christmas. The response was once again overwhelming, $5,255 was collected from Unifor members, GM employees and contractors as they arrived at work.

The Unifor Social Justice Fund donated an additional $5,500. All moneys raised were donated to Community Care St Catharines, Project Share in Niagara Falls,  The Hope Centre in Welland  & Port Cares in Port Colborne.

A special thank you to everyone who opened their hearts and wallets to help families in need at Christmas. Your generous donations will help put food in the food bank, purchase Christmas gifts for children and much more.

I would like to remind our members we are looking for gently used clothes suitable for teenagers for the RAFT clothing drive, please drop off any donations at the Union hall.  We will also have food drive at the hall on Wednesday December 20th.
