LABOUR DAY PARADE, Invitation for Members Family & Friends
The Executive Board would like to invite you your family and your friends to celebrate Labour Day with us, Monday September 5th 2016. This year’s celebration kicks off with the Merritton Labour Day Parade which starts at 11 am from the Pen Centre, at 1pm we have scheduled a BBQ and entertainment back at the Union Hall.
Parade
Local 199’s parade delegation will include a LIVE band Old Plank Road, ten new vehicles and a city bus for our retirees & members who can’t walk the route. Any members who would like to walk the parade route with us should meet at the Pen Centre @ 10am. All of our members, from all of our units, their families and their friends are all invited to attend the parade and the after party back at the Union hall.
Walkers & drivers in the parade, should meet at the Pen Centre parking lot at 10 am. Members who are in the parade will receive a Unifor T Shirt. (Please pick up shirts between 10 am and 11 am on Monday at the Pen Centre)
We have booked a city bus for Members & Retirees who want to be picked up at the Union Hall, travel the parade route with the Unifor Delegation and be driven back to the union Hall after the parade. Please note the bus service starts and ends at the union hall and will NOT return to the pen center. Please call to register for the bus, meet at the Union hall parking lot at 9:30 am, 124 Bunting Road, St Catharines.
Family BBQ & Live Music (Marty Allen Band)
Following the parade you are invited to the Union hall for a BBQ and Live entertainment (Marty Allen Band) between 1 pm and 5pm. We also have Inflatables and free ice cream for kids a cash bar, BBQ and a French Fry truck.
