Port Elgin – One Week Courses
Unifor offers a variety of residential course at the Family Education Centre in Port Elgin. The schedule for courses available from September to December has been posted. Members who are interested in attending must be approved to attend and be cleared by their employer. If you want more information about any of these programs, or want more information on the application process contact your Local Union Rep, the Education Committee. On-site child care (0-12) years) is available for specified dates. Lost time wages, the cost of your transportation, accommodation, meals and child care if required & available, are all supplied by the Paid Education Leave Trust Fund.
We ask that you respect the course deadlines. Applications are accepted on a first come first serve basis until class capacity.

PEL Application forms are available at the Union Hall or can downloaded from the link below. THE QUESTIONNAIRE MUST BE SUBMITTED WITH YOUR APPLICATION. BRING YOUR APPLICATION INTO THE UNION HALL IN ORDER FOR IT TO BE APPROVED AND FAXED TO PORT ELGIN.
