SAFARI NIAGARA – 2018 Unifor Family Picnic
Despite a very wet start to the day and a bleak outlook for the rest of the day we were relieved that the weatherman was wrong again. The rain stopped and the recreation committee announced were going in! Everyone who braved the morning elements was rewarded with a dry if not sunny day and a great time. The bonus to the rainy morning the park was empty for most of the day which meant; no line ups, no waiting, lots of food, lots of ice cream, and the animals were all quite lively. By mid afternoon even the splash pool had a few brave wee souls splashing around. Jade Jones Walker who drove from Kitchener to be with friends and family said…
We told our 2 year old Daughter Caia we were coming to the picnic, we talked about it all week and she was so excited. Caia was up before us, got dressed and was ready to go at 7 am, how can you say we not going”

I would also like to thank Lawrence Robson & Peter Scott for taking pictures to capture the days events and the companies who made a donation to reduce the cost for our members to attend. Thanks you to all our Unit chairs and elected reps for encouraging our members to attend.
Safari Niagara
Many thanks to Tim Tykolis and the Safari Niagara Family, most notably Amanda Wolstenholme and her administrative staff, Scott Wild and his catering staff. We appreciate your hard work to make it a great day. Because of the inclement weather Safari Niagara has agreed to honour any unused tickets members may have for the 2018 season. We have uploaded pictures which can be seen by clicking on the following link Link to Images from Safari Niagara or scrolling through the slide show below. Hope you all enjoy the day and will come out again next year.
