I would like to thank all of the members who made the time to attend last nights General Membership Meeting.  I think everyone who participated would agreed the process was relatively simple, all without leaving the house. These meetings are important to the success of the Local, as members are able to ask questions and raise concerns. They are also the most direct form of communication and therefore information.

Last night, with the help of Elections Chairperson Chris Jones, I called the election for the Executive Board and roughly 22 other units, including General Motors.  Highlighting the importance of these meetings, we engaged in a discussion about the mechanisms and guidelines surrounding elections, answered members questions, and provided a rough timetable. Notices will be posted in workplaces and on the website in the near future.

The next meeting is scheduled for February 16th, 2022. I look forward to seeing you there.
