QUEST Community Health Centre

On behalf of the LGBTQ+ Community, it is with great honour to announce that a donation was made to Quest Community Health Centre for their Christmas Stocking Program.

A $500 dollar cheque was made to Quest Community Health in Saint Catharines where the money would be used to prepare Stocking stuffers for clients. These include gift cards, toiletries, essential hygiene products, and warm comfy socks. The thanks we received were endless and Stephanie Vail, the health outreach worker had nothing but wonderful things to say about the impact our donations, alongside others in the community, make on this community.

Quest Community Health is an essential service for the LGBTQ+ community. They provide youth counselling and support, a social hub for those in the community, Gay Straight Alliances in school and post secondary institutions, health advocacy and trans specific health care for clients, and information sessions to parents or questioning individuals. In 2019 they were recipients of the Alliance for Healthier Communities Transformative Change awards.

This year now more than ever individuals especially in LGBTQ+ bracket continue to face hardships in adequate health care, housing, and discrimination. Ensuring that we have our committee dedicated to helping those in any way we can, we are doing our part as being role models to a brighter future for those individuals.

On behalf of the committee, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
