GM Plant Gate Collection Helps to Raise $17,800

Every Christmas we arrange a plant gate collection at General Motors to collect funds for families in need at Christmas. The response was once again overwhelming, $6,313 was collected from Unifor members, GM employees and contractors as they arrived at work. The Unifor Social Justice Fund donated an additional $11,500.  All funds raised were donated to;

  • Community Care-St Catharines,
  • Project Share-Niagara Falls,
  • The Hope Centre-Welland,
  • South Niagara 2nd Stage Housing,
  • Gillian’s Place,
  • YWCA Women’s Shelter,
  • Community Outreach Program-Fort Eire &
  • Port Cares-Port Colborne.

A special thank you to everyone who opened their hearts and wallets to help families in need at Christmas. Your generous donations will help put food in the food bank, purchase Christmas gifts for children and much more.
