Health & Safety
Communication is the key to an effective health and safety system. The Health and Safety Representative provides a link between workers and management. This encourages the people who know the most about the work to give input on the safety environment. The Health and Safety Representative helps bring health and safety issues into the open to have them resolved. In turn, this improved communication benefits production and contributes to the sense of teamwork in the workplace.
As your workplace Health and Safety Representatives, we have been entrusted by you to be your voice if your health and safety concerns are not being addressed through the Employee Safety Concern Process. If you would like to make us aware of your concern, or you feel your Health & Safety Concern is not being addressed, please contact Health and Safety Rep Edward Steers or Alternate Health and Safety Rep Richard Piper. Or stop in at the Health and Safety office located at the West Gate.
